Senior Softball USA Bat Policy
Senior Softball-USA has licensed new senior bats and published an Approved Bat List for all sanctioned SS-USA Tournaments. This policy was implemented for two reasons:
First and foremost, it is designed to protect our players and the sport. In the past few years, several entities have begun developing senior bats. This policy provides a significant barrier to bat manufacturers who do not have the wherewithal to establish manufacturing procedures that meet minimum industry standards to ensure bats are consistently meeting standards...
In the picture, Neil (Batman) Spitz, (on the left in the picture), our resident senior bat expert is informing a new player, Perry Cartwright, about the ASA sanctioned senior softball bats. Neil, being a nice guy, will let Perry use his sanctioned bat until Perry purchases his own bat. Perry did bring an aluminum bat and was strongly advised not to use it.
